TIPS TO CONSIDER BEFORE SESSION:


  1. Apply fly spray.
  2. Exercise your horse prior to the session (if you have time)
  3. Give your horse a thorough bath- make sure horse is dry before shoot
  4. If you have a specific location in mind for photos that your horse doesn't usually visit, take your horse there beforehand and practice standing still.
  5. Encourage your horse to stand calmly daily prior to shoot
  6. If necessary, mow the area
  7. Tidy up the surroundings in the yard or arena.
  8. Ensure you have a well-fitted, clean halter ready and tack is clean
  9. If opting for action shots, prepare a safe and familiar area for your horse.
  10. Keep hairspray handy for managing the mane and tail.
